Hi guys and girls, new member and absolute noob welder, all i have manage to do so far is burn my feet with splatter (yep im the guy that started barefoot, granted i was only playing on 50mmx50mm plate.). My welder does not have a chart in the door and i am having trouble finding a metric chart. Everything seems to be in imperial, but my welder is metric and i want to be lazy and not have to convert. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a good image/doc i can print out and stick in the welder where one should bt? Also, back on the shoes. I have some old hiking boots, the synthetic type not the heavy leather. would these offer much protection or do i really need to fork out and get some leather steel caps? Happy to spend the money, but wont if i dont have to.These are what i have Thanks in advance.Last edited by TheRealTy; 03-13-2016 at 09:49 PM.
Reply:are you looking for metric amps or metric volts?sorry, couldn't resist.have a look at a european mig wire seller, they have charts online.for example:wire size --- steel -- stainless -- aluminium0.8 mm -- 60-200 A -- 50-140A -- 60-170A1.0 mm -- 80-300 -- 80-190 -- 90-210Ayou'll find better charts online, probably with wire speed rather than amps.

Reply:Have y ou tried looking on their website.http://www.unimig.com.au/catalogue_p...tegory=1#.Then select setup manual you will find what you are looking for. They have a chart for wire speed and voltage there. Now that could not get any easier than that.Klutch 220si mig , stick, and dc tigHobart 140 AHP ALPHA 200X 2016Lotos LTP5000DSmith O/P
