Goodevening, everyone!!So, those $8 flap discs from Home Depot sure are nice, but they get pricey after a while...I'm just wondering if anyones had any positive experience with the various websites selling abrasives. I'd like to get a box of 40 or 60 grit discs, 20, 50, or 100 count maybe, just depending on the price. I'd buy one or two individual wheels to try out first.I know there's got to be some good ones out there, somewhere...What do y'all think? Thanks in advance,Lanse[Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. Reply:Lehigh Valley Abbrasives has 4-1/2" flap disks for $1.89.  Fast shipping.http://www.lehighvalleyabrasives.com/servlet/StoreFrontThey also have jumbo disks at a high prices.
Reply:I buy DeWalt brand flap discs in 80 grit. I use to buy them at home depot for around $6 then they switched to a Diablo brand, which sucks, for close to $8. I have tried all types of flap discs, even the fancy, pricey ones at the welding supply. I always come back to the DeWalt ones. I went online and found a company on Amazon called toolup.com that sells the same Dewalt brand flap disc for $4.78. DW8313. This flap disc has the threaded insert which saves me time. I buy 10-12 at a time, dont pay sales tax and get free shipping through amazon prime. The flap discs always arrive next day since they ship out of a NV warehouse and I am here in AZ. I keep various piles of these used flap discs. The more they wear, the harder they get. I use the hard, worn flap discs for chamfering the sharp edge off water jet parts ETC. It really has to be dead for me to throw away a flap disc. Not because I'm cheap but because they perform different as they wear.
Reply:I like the Tractor Supply flap discs better than Home Depot, for less money.Burt _____________________Miller Syncrowave 250Millermatic 211Miller 375 Plasma Cutter Hobart Handler 12010FtDrillBit.com

Reply:A buddy of mine who works in stainless swears by Klingspoor.   You would need to set up an account, but no big deal.   The prices seem competitive to Enco, but Klingspoor is probably better stuff.Sculptures in copper and other metalshttp://www.fergusonsculpture.comSyncrowave 200 Millermatic 211Readywelder spoolgunHypertherm 600 plasma cutterThermal Arc GMS300 Victor OA torchHomemade Blacksmith propane forge
Reply:I took advantage of the 10% off code at Enco. I ordered 10 4-1/2" flap discs on Thursday a.m. and they just came this afternoon. I'm in Northern California and the Enco warehouse is in Fernley, Nevada so I usually get my orders in one day. The discs are Camel brand and are made in USA. They look very nice. With 10% off, tax and shipping, they were $3.60 net each. What's not to like?Miller Millermatic 252Miller Syncrowave 200Liincoln AC-DC 225Victor O-A Set

I'll put there $2.50 flapper wheels against any., and there $1.00 cut off wheels are better than anything Home depot or Lowe's carries at 3 times the price.Miller TrailBlazer 251Miller HF-250-1Miller MaxStar 150 STLHyperTherm PowerMax 380 plasmaLincoln PowerMig 180Millermatic 252Miller Diversion 180
Reply:I use blackhawk stuff when I don't have the funds for Walter abrasives (worth it btw) I think  http://www.empireabrasives.com/flap-...and-polishing/  Pretty good for $2

There 2" discs can't be beat and we never have to wait a while for stuff. Lehigh Valley was pretty good but they got real nasty and messed up when we were in a jam.
