today ,i saw this sentence"all plate edges shall be 500 R.M.S or less" this sentece appeared in plate preparation,i don't know what's meaning of it ,please interpret it thanks

Reply:Googling it, turns up that it is a measure of surface roughness. Reply:The STARRET brand is usually the best but I couldnt find them. The MSC surface gauge in the link above goes from 2 to 500. Your spec said less than 500 so the MSC RMS gauge should be fine for your 500 or less RMS call out.Last edited by Insaneride; 03-17-2016 at 10:52 AM. |
