Hello, Like tittle say I'm have some experience with mig but I'm very interested an Tig machine machine just for my own projects  and my budget are around $ 1000-1500  I wanna stay away from Chinese brands, I saw few welders on Craigslist 1; 1996 Miller Synchro wave 351 Tig  for $ 1000. I don't know if include any welding items 2; Synchro wave tig welder comes with a 250CF Argon Tank for Tig Welding. Thanks! $1500 Comes with rods, foot-switch, finger-switch, leads, and hood! IAnybody know what model are this welder  I found another's like Lincoln [email protected] u guys think? Any recommendation? Thanks and advanceMillermatic 212
Reply:Looks like a syncrowave 180 or 200 in the pic. You could offer 1100 for the one in the pic with bottle and everything. If you wanna do aluminum you will want more amps. You would be into ur duty cycle pretty fast on that welder
Reply:One in the picture looks like a Syncrowave 180SD. Not a bad starter tig. I wouldn't go over say $1100 for it even including the cylinder.#2 doesn't really tell us much. Way too many Syncrowave models to guess at. If it's a Syncro 250 it's a good deal. If it's a Syncrowave 200 it's a fair deal but on the higher end. whether you can swap out the cylinder would make or break the deal for me if it's a 200. If you can't swap out the cylinder, it's too high. Can't tell you much about the bigger Syncrowaves like the 1st one listed..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Guys want to much for there used welders. buy a precision tig 225 from Lincoln. And u got a 3 year warranty. There 2300 tho. It's got pulse to. Even tho every time I turn it on I always turn it right back off
Reply:Thanks guys I'm considering lincoln 225 seen like sell for $ 2300 but for the price I have to let it go my 212 mig welder I hope I can get  $ 1200-300 for my welderMillermatic 212
Reply:I'd keep the MIG.  Just be patient and the right deal will come along.Tiger Sales:  AHP Distributor    www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P,  Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.  For Sale:  Cobra Mig 250 w/ Push-pull gun.  Lincoln Wirematic 250
Reply:I agree with soutth, keep the mig and wait for the right deal. maybe expand your craigslist search a little farther then you would like to go.
Reply:I'm in the same boat, looking for a tig.  For what everyone wants for their 10-20 yr old syncrowave, just as well buy a new/newer inverter.  If one does come up reasonable, it's half way across the country.  Just about pulled the trigger on an HTP 221, black Friday,  probably regret not doing it, but I don't "really" have a need for it at the moment.Last edited by Teggy1; 12-07-2014 at 10:48 PM.
Reply:Just purchased a HTP invertig 221 , black Friday sale for 2295 this includes free shipping and 100 in free merch
Reply:Keep the mig, be patient and you'll find a tig cheap.Mine was $225 (my avatar) - it's an Airco but is actually a miller 330 abp.I regularly see them for $500-$900 and they weld excellent They are cheap because they are old tech, no adjustable freq, balance, or pulse - which are just a luxury anyway.Don't get me wrong, all that stuff is cool, and if my machine had it, I'd use it - just not a necessity.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
Reply:I have purchased apps set to notify me when the criteria set is posted on CL. Seems no one in my area sells anything,  until you get into the bigger cities,  then it's a tough deal to make because everyone is first come first serve, no holding. I don't blame them, but makes it tough buying things when your over 2hrs away.

Reply:Sorry guys I was working overtime and I going to keepMy welder. I know in mid February we have international Agri-expo on Maybe I wait for the farm show. Also I'm thinking to buy a plasma cutter !!Millermatic 212
Reply:Don't stop checking craigslist an eBay. I had given up my search to save for a new tig machine when I stumbled onto a dialarc 250 HF-p that I won on eBay for 300. All accessories but a regulator included. The only reason I got it was because it was local pickup and I didn't mind driving the 2.5hrs to pick it up.
Reply:Where ya at Teggy?  I know a guy that's going to have a Syncrowave 200 for sale very soon.Shoot me a private message. My name's not Jim....
Reply:Traditional farm and ranch auctions are a good source for machines, but more risk.  Get on the email list of local auction companies that do those kinds of auctions.Tiger Sales:  AHP Distributor    www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P,  Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.  For Sale:  Cobra Mig 250 w/ Push-pull gun.  Lincoln Wirematic 250
Reply:Just be patient, the deals are out there...you just have to wait them out.  I actually lucked into my first TIG, an Invertec V-250s for $400, but it came with nothing (no leads, torch, etc).  It took me several years to find an aluminum capable machine, and picked it up a few weeks ago.  Its a Lincoln Square Wave 175 that I picked up for right around $675, came complete with everything but a bottle of shield gas.
Reply:Hey guys i found this welder and what u guys think? [email protected] 212
Reply:Well I think this is better deal [email protected] 212
Reply:Lincoln Invertec V275-S Stick [email protected] 212
Reply:Isn't the 275 a DC only machine?
Reply:Check your links for the CL listings. They keep wanting to pull up Outlook for me rather than go to a CL listing..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Sorry guys I still not figure out with the links but I found this   Miller dialect HF welder for sale. See pics  Look like the torch are water cooled maybe all u see in the pic for $600 that's the best I can find for now at u guys think ?Millermatic 212
Reply:$600 is cheap just for the machine alone where I live - I'd surely buy all that for that price Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
Reply:That's a good deal.  Only thing I don't see is the water cooler.  Don't use a water cooled torch without a cooler, you will destroy it.    So either get an air cooled torch or a coolerTiger Sales:  AHP Distributor    www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P,  Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.  For Sale:  Cobra Mig 250 w/ Push-pull gun.  Lincoln Wirematic 250not bad, but where's the LED display for all the cool settings??!?!  You got robbed!   1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! Reply:Looks like it says "dynaflux" on the side.  Looks like a Bernard.  Bad parts is what appears to be the old style Oberdorfer pump.   Apparently quite loud.  I'd buy the first at $600, or buy the second at $900 ASAP.   You can upgrade the pump for under $100.  The best part is it "all there".  You can't forget that the small fittings and parts add up.  Like the 25' leather torch sheath.   A new ones gonna run you some coin.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
Reply:I would go with the first one and a 17 air cooled torch.
