I'm just a D-I-Y'er, and am looking to accumulate some materials for welding projects. I'm in the Cleveland, OH area.Mild steel rectangular and square tubing, steel bar, steel plate (up to 1/4" thick only)Don't have a source for supplies yet, and thought I'd try here. If you're in the area, I would be interested to find a source.
Reply:look at ebay under metals & alloys
Reply:I have been looking regularly there, but the shipping just makes it way too pricey. Hoping to find a local source.thanks
Reply:The easiest thing to do is call a fabrication shop and ask them where they buy their metal from. Cleveland is a big city there's got to be a supply company there
Reply:Thanks, Joe.

Reply:I might go to that place, although it's 40 miles from me. I'm looking for someplace on the WEST side of Cleveland, hopefully, but need to keep on lookin'.Thanks for the reply.
Reply:you can try metalsdepot.com too. You have to get it shipped, I placed a rather big order of various types of round and square carbon tubing and freight was only like 100 bucks, which isn't bad considering what was ordered. The more you order the cheaper shipping gets ironically.ESAB MigMaster 275Miller Econotwin HFMiller Syncrowave 250 |
