Doing year-end bookwork, I realized that I've accumulated "excessive" amounts of torches this year.  While they're pretty to look at, I don't make a very good collector because I'm constantly selling my collections.  This is the first of two threads - the torches here are still made today, all parts are available, etc.  These are all in either new condition or excellent working condition.  Torches in the second thread will be vintage torches which are now collectors' items.Prices include USPS Priority insured mail with signature confirmation, to the lower 48 states.  Sorry, not mailing elsewhere.  I will accept Paypal.LEFT TO RIGHT:1) Victor MT210 machine torch.  New. These are used for bevelers/track torches, etc.  If you need one, you know what they cost already.  No rack or tip - this is exactly as shipped from Victor.  $300 shipped.2) Victor CA1350 series cutting attachment.  New.  This mounts on the medium-duty 100-series handle (J100, 100C, 100FC...) and includes a Victor 0-3-101 cutting tip.  $75 shipped (dropped the price from my other ad).3) Smith LIFETIME SW1A handle / LIFETIME SC209 cutting attachment.  Both new.  This is Smith's large combination torch, with lifetime warranties on both pieces.  I can throw in a new propane cutting tip.  $150 shipped.4) Smith LIFETIME WH200A handle / LIFETIME SC209 cutting attachment.  Both used, but excellent working condition.  This is another of Smith's large combination torches, with lifetime warranties on both pieces.  I can throw in a new propane cutting tip.  Slight ding in the WH200's handle doesn't affect function, other small scratches.  $120 shipped.5) Smith AW1 handle / AC309 cutting attachment.  Both used, both were just gone through by OADoctor's company earlier this year.  Excellent working condition, has only been used a handful of times after the rebuild.  Slight dings and scratches.  I will include a new MC12-1 acetylene cutting tip.  $100 shipped.I will note which torches sell as they sell.  Thanks for your attention. Reply:And to think, this time last year I only had a lowly Victor medium-duty torch and was running acetylene for a fuel gas. A little cash here, a little paypal there, and a little horse trading, and look what I ended up with!
Reply:I'd like either one of the Smith torches. I need your help though. I don't need heavy duty. I just plan on heating nuts and bolts and maybe cutting up to 2" of steel. I will be using propane for a gas. I'd really like a lifetime warranty torch. I'm thinking #4 with the propane tip.Considering my wants/needs which do you suggest?Todd
Reply:I'm thinking #4 with the propane tip.
Reply:Todd, if you're looking for the lifetime warranty, #4 would be your best bet of what I have.  I used this one on my truck for awhile before I switched to the SC229 straight torch I now use.  This one is very reliable and while used, is in good shape.  The AW1 / AC309 is quite a bit smaller and would fit your needs as well, but it isn't lifetime warranty and you'd need small hoses which are a little harder to find.  It will be probably be bought by someone primarily interested in oxy-acetylene welding or oxy-fuel brazing.  The forward controls on the handle make it better for that.If I had a spare WH100 / MC509, that would be what I would recommend to you.  Unfortunately, I only have one and am keeping it.  Torch #4 would do all you want and more - it's just longer and heavier than you really NEED for what you're doing.
Reply:I see that Farmall replied while I was dilly-dallying around with that other post.  I did get your PM as well.I can possibly work out a package deal on the regs, but I haven't tested them yet and would want to before I offer them for sale.I will be away from the computer for the remainder of the day, but I'll reply to posts when I get back tonight.  If you know you're going to take one, please post an "I'll take it" in the thread so everyone is clear on what's still available.
Reply:Overkill is a beautiful thing. Hand size matters too. I prefer larger torch handles for that reason.A Smith torch and Victor regs would be a fine combination.
Reply:I have larger/longer fingers. I know, Storey of my life.Unfortunately, might have to hold off a week or two on the regs if/when the regs come up.

Reply:I advise using a PFC (Protective Fat Chick). Find one with a larger silhouette than the biggest item you wish to protect (say a Lincoln Commander on a trailer), and offer it pastries to block attempts to grab your stuff. PFCs run wild around the US and are easy to trap.Protip:Cut the ring off a pintle hitch, weld it in the center of a hog trap, and paint it to look like a donut. Cruise Walmart parking lots, drop the hog trap door, and if you are lucky you'll have your new "hog" locked in before it gnaws through the pintle ring.Last edited by farmall; 01-01-2012 at 10:44 AM.

Reply:Thanks DSW but it didn't sway her attack at all. it had the adverse affect. as i jumped over one of my stick welders i turned just in time to see her consume my stinger. i guess tbone will have to buy a new stinger for it when he goes to sell it. hey tbone i will make you real good deal on a sweet little PFC225NT bobcatAEAD200LEScott 125mm175, mm252 w 30A, PT225mm211, TA 181iHyper Therm 380, cut master 529100X & XX, Digital Elite6 Victor setssmith little torch, meco midget kalamazoo band sawsteel max saw evoulution circular saw

Reply:I think most carriers have a 70 lb weight limit. Fine for a small Chinese girl, ( guess that makes it a bit harder to get a mail order bride compared to the old days  )but I think you'll need to look at common freight carriers and pack the PFC in a crate for shipping..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:3) Smith LIFETIME SW1A handle / LIFETIME SC209 cutting attachment.Tbone I cannot find any info on this handle, Is this corrrect model you listed? ThanksAmerican by birth Southern by the Grace of God
Reply:Hey 74, here's how the modern Smith large handle production breaks down.  -The original modern-style large handle was the SW1.  I have never seen one of these with the lifetime warranty.  -They made limited quantities of an SW2, which was a longer, narrower-diameter large handle.  I own the only one of these I've seen, and it doesn't have a lifetime warranty.  It wasn't made as a replacement for the SW1 - it was made at the same time.-They updated the SW1 to the SW1A - the changes I see are the LIFETIME stamp and the 4-cornered valves which seem to go along with most modern LIFETIME-stamped torches.-Then they switched to the WH200, which changes to a many-ribbed grip area and adds screw-on check valves to the hose connections, and is LIFETIME-stamped.  Short answer: the main difference is that the SW1A lacks screwed-on check valves on the hose connections.  If you want to add these, a set will run you a few dollars at your LWS.  If it were mine, I'd add proper flash arrestors instead.Last edited by tbone550; 01-03-2012 at 09:22 AM.

Reply:No problem, 74.TasBiker, your torch shipped out this afternoon insured with delivery confirmation.  I PM'ed you the numbers and details.
Reply:I'll update you when I receive it. Estimated date of delivery is January 5th. Now that's prompt shipping without excessive costs.
Reply:Hey Joe,Received the torch and 3 new tips yesterday. Gotta love the 3 day shipping time.It looks great. Now I need to get some regs. Did I read here you may have some but need to test them before you put them up for sale?I know if I need anymore tips I'll be in touch with you. Thanks Joe!Todd
Reply:Todd,Thanks for the positive feedback.  It was a pleasure doing business with you as well.I do have a set of regulators, plus a spare or two, to sell but they are likely overkill for what you need - they are Victor's SR450 Professional (read: Expensive) series which is a very high flow-capacity single-stage regulator.  I have standardized on this style of regulator for my business usage because they're high quality, easy to repair, and tough.  The extras that I have are ones I've picked up along the way that are excess to my needs.  As I said before, while I'd be glad to sell them to you once I've tested them, there are much cheaper regulators out there that will also do what you need.  A set of Smith 30-series, Victor 250 series, or Harris ??? series will have you going and would be all you'd need.Today was a short day, so I'll try to get these regs checked out and a for sale thread made for them yet this afternoon or evening.  Look for a thread called, "T-Bone's Regulators For Sale."
Reply:any of these left? I'll take #3 if you still got it. If available PM your contact info, thanks
Reply:I will send you a PM with contact info.  Torch #3 - the SW1A / SC209 (both new) sold pending funds to Somthingoriginal.  Torch will ship out within one business day of funds posting to my business account - if funds post today this torch will ship out on Monday. For general info, the only remaining torches still available in this thread are the Victor CA1350 cutting attachment (#2) and the Smith AW1 / AC309 (#5).  I have not received funds yet for the machine torch but it has been sold pending funds through PM's.Thanks for reading.
Reply:Get the Victor SRs! You will not be sorry.I use them too. Why buy lesser regs?
Reply:Originally Posted by farmallGet the Victor SRs! You will not be sorry.I use them too. Why buy lesser regs?
Reply:Funds received and posted from SomthingOriginal - the SW1A and SC209 with cutting tip will ship out tomorrow (Monday) around noon.  I will PM you the delivery confirmation number.Have not received funds for the MT210 yet but I'm sure they're on their way.Victor CA1350 and Smith AW1 / AC309 still remain available.  I still need to get a regulators thread up, and I will probably roll these two torches into a new torches for sale thread as I have a few more to sell and this thread has gotten pretty long as it is.  Just don't want to clog up the classifieds here with tons of different threads.
Reply:Oh good, Stickman will have a chance to get in on the comments on the next one. Maybe he can spot his stuff before it's all gone next time..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Tbone,If the #5 the Smith AW1/AC309 is still available, I will take it.  I'm also interested in a set of OA regulators that would work well with this torch if you have any (540/510 connections). Please PM with details on how you would like payment.ThanksRodJ
Reply:Torch #5, the Smith AW1 / AC309 is sold to RodJ pending funds.  I will PM you payment details.  As with the others, the torch will ship out within one business day of your funds posting to my business account.  Thanks for your business!Regulators, regulators....everyone is mentioning regulators.  I will try to get off of my lazy rear and list these regs tomorrow in their own thread.  I've been delaying because I want to add a set of Smith heavy duty's to that thread as well, but I'm still waiting on their Victor replacements to arrive.  And I didn't want to make two regulator threads and clutter up the classifieds.  Maybe I will add a pic of the Smiths in the sale post and then make a separate post when my new ones arrive and the Smiths are officially available.  They're a really nice set, but like I said earlier I'm standardizing on the Victor SR450 series.  All torches in this thread with the exception of the Victor CA1350 cutting attachment are now either sold, or sold pending funds.  Still waiting on funds for the Victor MT210 - I will give it another week and then relist it if funds haven't arrived by then.  The buyer is a pretty busy fellow, so I'm giving him some slack.
Reply:Thanks!  PM replied with Q re payment clarification.  Much appreciated. Rod
Reply:Rod - I just replied to your PM.  The check should be made payable to Applied Fabrications LLC.  Other questions also answered.  Thank you.-Joe
Reply:Just got mine in last night, tried it out today. It works perfectly, looks awesome, I'm very pleased thanks a lot.
Reply:Thank you, Tbone, all that info was very useful.  I missed the mailman yesterday, but dropped it in the box this morning.  Should be there by Monday if not sooner.Question - do you have any use for a Smith H1983 510 regulator?  I picked one up in a "package" deal and have no use for it.  It's new, old stock.  For air/acetylene use only according to the info I found.Yours free for the asking as a small thank you.
Reply:Rod, thanks for the offer.  If you truly have no use for the regulator I'd be happy to take it.  Let me know what I'd owe you for shipping. Also, let me know if you have further questions as you put together your outfit - I'm happy to help in any way I can.Somthingoriginal, glad you're satisfied.Last edited by tbone550; 01-12-2012 at 10:50 PM.
