Reply:small price drop to $650 ,
Reply:Wish you were closer I want one so bad!
Reply:Nice price! Odd how "regional" different welder prices are.
Reply:Listed on Craiglist , got a call from a guy who happened to be an old family friend. he will be down on Sunday to pick it up. Glad it worked out. Now I have 650 to spend on something that is overpriced and won't last a 1/10th of the years this welder has.
Reply:Good deal!I think it was a buy and great that 'ol Buddy ends up with it.Last edited by denrep; 01-27-2012 at 11:07 PM.
Reply:That just hurts - in west Texas thats 2 grand easily. When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, "This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know," the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives.
Reply:I keep hearing it, but I really don't understand the "too far away" reasoning. Especially so if a machine is a big bargain compared to what it's worth at home. For example, let's suppose that a machine similar to JCP's was located in someone's home high-dollar-Lincoln state, but still just 300 miles away. Well, to chase a machine just 300 miles likely would cost as much in time and fuel as to pay the freight from DE for JCP's machine. So, if a Lincoln buyer happens to live in a state where Lincolns are high-dollar, then to beat the JCP deal it'd take the unlikely chance that a deal like JCP's would somehow pop up in one's own backyard, for way below local market value. Otherwise, barring the expectation of "winning the lottery" I don't see how passing on a deal for it being too far away makes sense. What am I missing? Good LuckLast edited by denrep; 01-28-2012 at 11:41 PM. |
