sae 400- bedford diesel

Bought a 400 with a bedford diesel,runs well but leaks oil from head,can get gasket set near detroit but is a grand for full kit,noted in service records head was done a few years ago,anyone have a kit layin around?  Called local dealer,he asked if was dc exited when i inquired about a cv box,can anyone help?already wish it had a perkins like my other one.Also has one coil? broken off amp control near the top-will thisgive a dead spot?.thanks
Reply:Find a perkins and repower it? I am sorry the kit is so much but you might find your self ahead of the game to find a perkins and sell your bedford, especialy if it has had a history of head trouble. What ever the solution I wish you luck.1997 SA 250

Reply:Have a look at ebay.co.uk, there's a head set there for about $US66. That's for one with Worldwide shipping. There's another that says only local shipping and it's only about $US38 and it's always worth the ask as to whether they'll ship Stateside. (But I hope you have better luck than I have getting US sellers to ship to New Zealand!)I've got the same set up but with bigger electrical problems and a diesel leak from the tank.
