Hey guys i have a diversion 180 i have outgrown and am looking at the dynasty210dx probably with the CPS which i have found for $3,500 for just the machine and leads. I hear it does not come with a power cord, is this true? Does anyone have any good recommendations for a good water cooler pump if i wanted to build my own resivour?  How are you guys that have the 210DX liking it for aluminum and stainless? What are useful accessories that people are buying with the dynasty (miller or other brands) Just looking for a killer water cooled setup to fullfill my automotive fab needs. Ill be starting a small business out of my garage and need to start assembling more high quality equipment. Last edited by urbansmoker; 10-28-2015 at 10:59 PM.
Reply:Well I can say I regret buy the contractor's kit when I bought my Dynasty200. I demoed a Dynasty200DX with CPS and hated it. It only had a computer style power supply plug for the auxilary 120volt outlet and I could not use for other uses. I did come up with an alternative to apply to my existing 200 when I put a water cooler to it. As far as a good pump I am a firm believer in ProCon pumps. You can find them at Edco distributing even coupled with motors. I would get the ones with the filter screens.Do you need dual voltage? If not you might want to look at the Dynasty280, or even the Linclone Aspect375.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li  ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
Reply:The 280 is a little out of my price range. The cps is dedicated for the cool mate which i am considering for the coolmate only... If i decided not to build a resivors. I was looking more at the 210, it says it does come with an 8ft primary cord, what else am i looking at to be up and running? Water cooled torch and leadsGroundFoot pedal Ive got a flow meter and a bottle from the diversion setup. Also curious if any other wireless foot pedals other then miller will work with this machine.I'll look into the aspect but I'm so far liking the blue. Reason I'm looking at the 210 is for price because i can cover a good portion of cost when i sell the diversion. Budget is 4kish with accessories. And i still need to buy 4 330cf bottlesThis machine will be mainly for turbo manifolds and Various high performance stainless exhaust components, roll cages, as well as intercoolers, and catch cans, maybe intake manifolds down the road.Last edited by urbansmoker; 10-29-2015 at 12:11 AM.

Reply:I havnt needed to go over 125amps yet on the diversion cause i never got it plugged into a higher voltage plug, but i dont think I'll ever need over 200 anyway the features of the 280 being in the 210 is exactly what intrigues me. Even at work with the synchrowave 250 i never went over 150ALast edited by urbansmoker; 11-01-2015 at 08:31 PM.
Reply:If you dabble with aluminum, it won't be long before you wish you had mo POWA for odd jobs. I found a couple of times I wished I bought the 350 at my last job, but the extra dollars for occasional use didn't make cents!!  Sent from my dumb smartphoneTeach Ag Mech - Mike At Home:Lincoln Electric AC225Miller Challenger 172Gas AxeWork:eclectic bunch of 90's vintage blue boxes
Reply:Well to be honest ive been getting away with doing padding on 1/4" 6061 as long as i preheat it's just fine at 125, even gets too hot pass after pass
Reply:Yes, but that's padding beads. A lot of heat input in a small space. Welding on thicker tube sections for racks, repairing trailer parts...etc is where I found the need. If you've gotten by with everything you've needed to do, there's no real reason for more, I'm just adding my experiences. Reply:If you haven't overworked the Diversion, you haven't welded aluminum. I hated mine, it was always bumping the duty cycle. Dynasty 280DX is barely adequate on big aluminum, though its better duty cycle is a blessing. I'd mortgage, sell your kids into slavery, sell all you've got, get a dynasty 280DX, or a 350. For engines, ot structural AL you need more power. As able, set up for adding helium to your argon. Get some gas lenses, My pedal is SSC it's wonderful. I used sink water in a weldcraft 280 water torch cause my cooler was back ordered. If you can afford, I'd like a CK flex head torch. An optimist is usually wrong, and when the unexpected happens is unprepared. Reply:Mine wouldn't quit, amperage was reduced. I'd find myself pushing harder on the pedal, with less and less heat. I had no choice but stop and cool. Steel was no challenge, but aluminum was what I wanted to weld.An optimist is usually wrong, and when the unexpected happens is unprepared. Reply:What do you guys think of the lincoln aspect vs dynasty
Reply:The aspect 375 looks nice.  Too bad it only puts out 250A on 1-phase 230V power. 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! HTP Invertig 400HTP Invertig 221HTP ProPulse 300HTP ProPulse 200 x2HTP ProPulse 220MTSHTP Inverarc 200TLP HTP Microcut 875SC
Reply:I have a dynasty 200 dx with coolmate 3 it's very nice I paid 2500 for it about a yr ago with a lot of extras with that being said it welds the same as a 210 I tried out, before that I had a everlast 250ex it was a good machine for the money, just food for thought. Chucke2009 has a review of the 210dx
Reply:I use a 200dx at work with a coolmate 1 and love it. The cooler could be a little bigger though.. I am looking for new with a warranty since this will be a production machine
Reply:If you already like the 200 go for the 210
Reply:Maybe some reviews on YouTube, but after all it's a Dynasty, the best TIG solution money can buy...my opinion anyway
Reply:I was running some 6010 and 7018 on some open root 6G pipe on one of our 280's today at school and love the way it runs them. also love the way it runs the aluminum and stainless. sadly the torches on our machines are the limiting factors to hitting the duty cycle. The 17 style torch gets to hot to hold before you get close to the duty cycle.

Reply:Originally Posted by GambleMeh. I disagree. I used the 210dx. It was ok but not super impressedYou can't go wrong with the Dynasty. The name is apropo. A Dynasty 210DX has more than just the 30 more amps than a Diversion 180. Changing the wave form with a DX will open more avenues to welding than just the base amperage. Preheat, helium, frequency, wave forms, there is more than one way to get the job done than brute force. I can do things in aluminum with less amperage on a Dynasty than I could ever attempt with a similar sized transformer machine. The CPS has integrated the PC style male outlet, but that's no big deal, just use a PC style plug on whatever cooler you want to use instead of the Miller 1.3 unit. I think that's just to keep idiots from trying to run their grinder and drill press off the welder. Accessories? Get a CK torch with superflex hoses, gas lens, wireless pedal kicks butt too.RyanMiller Multimatic 200 tig/spool gun/wireless remoteMillermatic 350P, Bernard/XR Python gunsMiller Dynasty 350, Coolmate 3.5 & wireless remoteCK WF1 TIG wire feederMiller Spectrum 375 XtremeOptrel e684Miller Digital EliteMiller Weld-Mask
