OK......so I got my Procon pump and now I have a motor on the way. One question. ......does the pump get mounted directly to the motor or is there some sort of rubber boot in between? Could someone please take a close up photo for me?

Reply:My Coolmate 4 uses a Procon Series 1 pump, like the one shovelon posted photos of above. It uses a plastic drive connector (shown installed on the pump) that fits inside of the slot on the pump and mates with another slot cut into the motor shaft. The lip on the pump and the lip on the motor are the two flanges over which the v-band clamp attaches. Tighten the screw and the v-band clamp tightens around the circumference of the flanges and holds them securely together.Hopefully the motor you sourced has the slot cut into the end of the shaft... |
