So a long long time ago, i think about two years i welded a table as a high school project with a harbor freight mig welder. Anyway it broke thankfully. It took me a long time to finally acquire a real welder. Got a Hobart 210 the beginning of this semester. Anyway I rarely have time to spend in the shop, but here are a few pictures of the projects i have been working on. I would like to get into fabrication on cars, such as roll cages, exhaust manifolds, engine mounts.....ect. But for now my skill level is nowhere near good enough, so furniture will have to do. Currently working on a bookshelf for myself and a dining room table for a friend of mine. I know the pictures are crap but tell me what you think .    I really hate how crappy my camera makes everything look. The shelve looks much better in person.
Reply:Is it a flat surface or are the edges raised a bit?I think they look pretty nice.
Reply:I tried to make it a flat surface, the corner one was a little off, the other one came out pretty flat, also thanks, I only realized how difficult welding is once i started. Some of you people make it look so damn easy!Last edited by jbrates; 02-14-2015 at 11:30 PM.
Reply:If you will download picasa, http://download.cnet.com/Picasa/3000...-10160334.html, you can easily crop, adjust the color of your pictures easily.  9 times out of 10 if you hit "I'm feeling lucky", it fixes a lot of issues.
Reply:It looks like you did a good gob designing those projects.  The way you built them looked pretty good too! Thanks for sharing.Dan----------------------------Measure twice.  Weld once.  Grind to size.MIG:  Lincoln SP100 TIG/STICK:  AHP Alphatig 200X
Reply:Looks great man keep it up! Nothing like having the ability to build things you need and making them tough as nails!ESAB Powercut 1600/ Hypertherm 30XP + 45XP/ Lincoln Powermig 255/ Jet Band SawCheck out my plasma cutter reviews also!Current Project: 175 Gallon Reverse Flow BBQ Smoker!
Reply:Thanks for the positive feedback.
Reply:Looks like they turned out well, keep on weldin'!"All of this and some of that's the only way to skin the cat!"
Reply:Design is questionable but execution looks good from here. I suggest that, untill you polish your technique, paint your structures. It will help to hide scratches, heat stains, and so on! It will look better and probably last longer (unless you have clear coated it and didn't tell us!)Mikel
