I have had a syncrowave 300 for about 5 years and here in the past year and half the machine starts acting up as if there is a short in the ground. It will just pulse on and off. This is only happens on ac and high frequency. Works fine welding stainless and steel just aluminum i have a problem with. I have the checked the ground cables and ground connections and everything is hooked up good. Checked the spark plugs and all i have seen is a spark connecting the two plugs and it is fine. Have yall ran into a similar problem?Last edited by Lilbuilder; 12-10-2012 at 12:32 AM.
Reply:Take the HF off of start and put it on continuous. In AC the HF must be set to continuous. In DC It can be set to start. In start the HF turns off after the arc gets started,In AC the arc restarts every time the polarity switches and you need the HF going all the time to keep the arc stable. The miller room would have been a better place to ask this question.
