im looking to 48" x 12g mild steel brake. how thick can this thing bend aluminum and stainless?
Reply:If it is a decent old American one, figure about .125 aluminum, and 16 gauge stainless. If it is a Grizzly or equivalent, de-rate it a little bit more (the Grizzly is about 800 pounds lighter than the equivalent Dreis and Krump brake, and as such, isn't nearly as stout, and .125 alum. and 16 gauge stainless are stretching the limits of a 12 gauge brake anyway).Who is John Galt?
