I have a Ranger275 i bought new around 1999 it has 1100 hours on it has never been in the weather. Its a excellent machine is CC/CV has a lot of power. The problem I'm having is when I'm welding and stop at times it will not start welding again. It may slightly spark when i strike a arc but then its dead. The only way it will weld again is if i shut down the machine and then re-start it. Now what just happened was it started doing this almost constantly and once when it did it i checked the AC 110V outlets and had power but no welding output. What i did was take off the covers and use electrical degreaser on everything and i stoned the slip rings as they were dirty. Tried the machine and i burnt about a dozen 5/32 lo-hi. Machine worked great but will use it later for a few hours and see what happens. I still am not convinced as it generates AC auxiliary power but not arc. I was thinking the PC board could be the culprit.... Any thoughts/comments are appreciated----Thanks
