Reply:I use the empty 11 lb spools to make hand crank reels for stringlines. Have two for myself and made the last one for my contractor neighbor. Reply:One use for the plastic spools is to use them for cables. I dont have any pics but I have one attached to my Plasma cutter's cart and I just wrap my ground cable around that.
Reply:I normally use my mig spools as makeshift plasma cutting surfaces. I put 3 or 4 of them on my welding table. Put a chunk of plate on top of them. Cut out what I need then just scrape the slag off the top of the table and move on.
