I recently picked up a 1999 SA-250 perkins with 795 hours on it for a whopping $3600. I am currently in the middle of taking it apart to clean it and paint it. The FL sun baked the paint right off the roof. I got to thinking that I might need to run my wire feeder off it. I was told you need the CV power adapter box or a wire feeder box. Evidently there was two versions for the SA250s. My machine was one of the last ones made, so it has the direct plug in connecters under the control panel for the box. Any body got any idea which one is the better one? Any body got a picture to what they look like? Reply:For my Classic 300D (4 cyl. diesel Perkins) I got the CV box (lincoln part # K-623-1). I got mine from Bakers Gas and Welding Supply (online), for about $1,400.00 NIB. Had it installed locally for about $400 bucks.The CV box burned out after about 5 hours use. Factory connection at the un/calibrated shunt(?) came loose and cooked up some wiring. Lincoln made good on it ASAP, by supplying new parts, and paying for repair. Excellent customer service, they even overnighted the parts to the factory rep repairman. I still have yet to run wire off the box now that it has been repaired. I will say this much though... the wire was running like a dream come true off my machine. Almost forgot... I was using it to run .045 712C dualshield, 100% C02 thru my LN 25.

Reply:HI Take your 12 VS and set for VV and give it a try we used LN-25 on VV Lincolns and it welds fine with nothing added both innershield and flux core . John
