Ques on Weldanpower 225 CV plug

Hey dere;I am moving closer to lining up a Tomahawk Air plasma cutter to use with my Weldanpower 225. Question is, where do i get the Male plug to mate with the 220 output? This is the input power to the cutter unit.  Honest question, at any rate.Thanks a bunch
Reply:you can make a pig tail adapter. Just need a foot of cable a plug that fits the welder and a receptacle that fit the plasma plug. Most welder plugs are three pins. the standard generator / engine welder receptacle has four connections. two hot, one neutral and one ground.All parts can be purchased at a home center, hardware store  or electrical supply. A lot of welding supply stores have them also but at greater cost. See the electrical section on this board. Installing plugs and making adapters are cover in detail there. Just do a search or look around.

I gotta look to remind mysefl what kind of outlet it got on the right hand facing side before I go out and get the material I need to make it. it looks kinda funny from what I remember off the top of my head, the top two I remember go sideways, not sure on the lower. precciate the help
Reply:All plugs are designed with an amp and voltage rating. Single or 3 phase power.Pins are turned different ways and are different shapes. To make sure a 115 volt plug can't be plugged into a 230 volts. 50 amp plug into a 30 and ect.Only use adapter cords for temporary connections. The plug you use most is the one that should be on the plasma's cord. Some multi-voltage units now come with quick change plugs of the right amp/volt rating.
