Can I use HF cheapo 90A/120V flux core to do a spot weld?

http://www.harborfreight.com/90-amp-...der-61849.htmlI know this is foreign crap, but someone is selling a used for for like $50.I want to try to do a few spot welds on a jalopy auto rocker panel. Will this work for that?   It's ok if it's messy, the car will be junked in a year anyway.I also like the ability to weld a nut onto a broken stud.  Can a non-MIG flux core welder do these 2 tasks?For $50, a cost of dinner,  I'm willing to try and then toss.Last edited by punxbond; 04-09-2016 at 04:10 PM.
Reply:I don't have a lot of experience with flux core (I've probably only run a couple hundred feet), but it has a tendency to burn hot. Really hot. That may be too much for sheet metal.If you add your location to your profile, someone who has the right equipment may be able to help you out.-Chris
Reply:It will  work on sheet  metal but it aint easy...I have one and used it on plenty of sheet but paint and fluxcore dont mix....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:This welder is missing many parts that you need to make good welds.No rectifier, no choke coil,no capacitor,no real heat control.I wonder why HF doesent sell a better welder that includes all the missing parts.Find a used Miller 130.It will do good work and have gas parts that HF leaves out.A used Century that uses gas would be fine.There a plenty of good used mig welders for sale because hot shots think welding is easy.
