Reply:1/2", .025" wide bandsaw blade material purchased from your local sharpening shop, cut and welded to desired length works OK on the old craftsman bandsaws (although they are originally designed for slightly thinner blade, which is much harder to find and not really necessary.) I believe going from memory, the blade length is 4 feet. You can select various teeth per inch based on what you will most often be cutting.

Reply:Is this a metal cutting horizontal band saw like a 4''x6'' ? What's your location ?Do you have a Farm and Fleet where you live ? Their blades are USA made and at a reasonable price.
Reply:Thanks for the tips. Yes it is a small metal cutting saw. Don't believe I have seen a Farm and Fleet here in my area of Missouri. Should be able to find something from one of the places mentioned . Thanks
