Brush guard

Built this last yr for my 91 Dodge. Main supports are 1/4" plate that are bolted directly to the frame rather than bolted thru the bumper like most store bought ones. Headlight wrap arounds are 3/8"x 1 1/2" flat bar. The center tubes are 2" light guage tube. I had a local custom fab shop laster cut the JR into the main supports. Gives that custom touch, (wife and I's initials). All primed and finish coated with Herculiner bed liner. Not new or reinventing the wheel but I like to build rather than buy. Plus I know this is twice as strong as any over the counter brush guard as I tend to overbuild most the timeMy welds are not picture perfect but no worries about their strength. The wrap around sides are just bolted on so if I punch a tree or a deer I can replace just one side easily and not have to rebuild the whole thing.

Reply:Currently building a custom headache rack with integrated full length bed rails. Will get a thread up after I get a touch further. Here is a pic of the side uprights before they were taken to the laser cutter. Again it will have the JR cut into it. And the pile of steel ready to cut up.
