Hmmm, no welding on this one, but I think it turned out ok all the same. It no resides in my office, so people can keep their coffee cups off my desk, since they invariably get left there, and then become science experiments. It has a round glass top that I salvaged off of a floor lamp/end table that was getting thrown away.

Reply:Thanks guys! This is actually my second one, I have one more scrounged steering wheel, so I need to get another crank and make one more. Originally Posted by sirknuckleheadVery Cool table, I may steal that idea someday when I get my corner of the basement done.
Reply:@ mnt - really slick table you designed and fabricated! Today, saw this posted on local CL. The top is 7/8" thick Aluminum. WickedCool. A couple of my local automotive shop buds promised to flip me any worn out crankshafts, pistons, and connecting rods. Have a sweet idea in mind for a build.
