I have an sa-200 that shuts down after about 30 seconds and then wont start for a while. Any ideas will help.
Reply:Since the sa200's were low-tech (no electronics, etc) my best guess would be that the fuel filter is plugged up.Good luck
Reply:What year is the machine? Does it have Murphy gauges installed? It's either as slowhand said, lack of fuel or a gauge set to kill the machine for lack of oil pressure. Reply:I found it. It was a fuel issue. The fuel line was clogged. If you wait long enough it would get enough fuel to the carb to run for a little then the carb would go dry and repeat. Thanks for the mental kick start.
Reply:Best I can remember the only engine protection the sa200 had was - it wouldn't rev down.I think the oil pressure switch controlled the electronic board that controlled the rev-down solenoid. If you lost oil pressure then the engine would stay at 1500 rpm's.Who thought up that idea? I might be wrong. I can't remember.Later
