How to tell if my new to me Ideal 250 has the Power Factor Capacitors?

Hey guys and gals!I just picked up a new to me Lincoln Idealarc 250. Based on the Serial Number (C1950500539) it was made in 1995, the Code Number is 9992C and the model is AD/DC 250. Reply:Well, based on those numbers...take the screws out of the cover, pull it off, and look inside. I found a schematic inside the cover of mine which detailed the location of where they would be connected electrically, which they were not. Reply:So I popped the cover and found:So, the previous owner had this wired for connection to three phase. After some discussions with Lincoln tech support, this welder could be wired as three phase (related post: http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=54732 ), power was just from one leg of three phase. This was the attached input power plug:I changed to a Nema 6-50P plug to get back to single phase input power. I am having a hard time determining if the jumpers are wired correctly inside the machine. A photo of the reconnect panel:And a photo of the wire diagram:Can anyone help determine if the reconnect panel is correct? Reply:The C on the end of your code number is for factory installed power factor caps.The large grey can in the lower left of one of your first picture is one of the caps.The plug in your picture is not a 3 phase plug. Read the printing on the plug and you will see it says 125/250 volts.  That is a 50 amp stove plug. 1 ground, 2 hots and a neutral.It allows for the plug to supply 115 and 230 circuiots at the same time.There is a 3 phase plug the is similar 2 of the flat blades are turned 90 degrees.You can look inside the plug and you will fine the connection marked X, Y, W and G.The W is the neutral. A 3 phase plug is marked X,Y,Z,GFor your use nothing should be connected to the W blade.
