Places to buy parts

I am in the process of rebuilding a Lincoln TIG welder.  I have picked up most of the new parts I needed but ended up missing a few small parts that looked like they would come with the larger parts I bought.  The problem I am having is that after paying list price (ouch) for all of the expensive parts everybody is hard to reach and not really bothering with my small order.  This is rather irritating given that I looked up and ordered everything I thought I needed, spent a little money, and ended up about $25 shy of having replacement parts for everything that was damaged or worn out in the welder.  It doesn't do me much good to spend a couple hundred dollars one one part and still be missing a small part that failed in the same circuit.Who out there is *actually* in the business of selling Lincoln parts?  Frankly I am considering dumping the welder and the new parts so I can buy into a different brand of welder.
Reply:Do you have a local welding supplier that carries Lincoln? They should be able to order what you need. Reply:Go to the LWS you get your gas and supplies from. They should be able to get your small order. Just for your information. A repair shop that also sells a few parts can't make any money on small orders. By the time they make the order and all the paper work and time required to do so. It can cost more that $25 just to make the order. They are not going to sell you a $5.00 part and take a $20.00 lost on the sale. Almost all welder manufactures have $25.00 to $50.00 minimum order requirements. A LWS has a different way of costing parts sales. So if your are not in a rush. They may be more willing to get your small order for you.That said if you did a lot of repair and other business with the repair shop They would get your parts no matter what it cost, because they can make it up in other sales.
Reply:Sometimes other welder repair shops may have what you need in good used parts.  Most welding supplies just want to sell new welders and new parts if they don't have a in house repair shop or only do simple repairs.  Check with these two for starters on used parts or other welder repair shops in your area.http://www.stumpfweldingsupplies.com/http://www.billswelderrepair.com/
