I encourage others to try them.You can see this style in Irishfixits torch cutting videos. I have a bunch of Purox and Oxweld torches. They are so nice that when I get a standard Victor Journeymen-style torch it goes on Ebay.  They take 4200-series tips.Last edited by farmall; 05-06-2012 at 04:54 PM.

Reply:That is one I would stay away fromThe seller chooses to call it used which has a specific definition ebay puts in the listing or on the listing and then the seller goes and contradicts that by saying they have no idea if it works.  You are already up to $31 total.  Might be able to get a totally new handle for that price and the knobs would work great, Don't those look like the older design packing.  The welding heads often seem better on the old stuff but the knobs are better on the new stuff at least that esab, purox and oxweld.  The 400 series handle is longer and certinaly preferable for use with a cutting attachment for my hand size.Why is it even oxweld the 300 handle is labeled purox and cw 300 takes purox nozzles.  You can't even see if the preheat knob is on it.  Not all that rare missing knobs and similar descriptions.
Reply:Those are the ones I nail. I've gotten buckets of 'em that way.
