New lincoln

After 6 years of a 110v miller mig, I finally have the mig machine I really needed, the Lincoln Power Mig 216. It welds so nice and it looks damn good in my shop. Stoked. Got it at my LWS for $1499 after a Mgr $125 rebate. The millermatic is already on craigslist.

Reply:Keep it waxed like I do (my machines).  It's trickle down, you buy Lincoln and Lincoln buys from us and we get paid and keep a job....  I'm happy.

Reply:What kind of miller do you have? Any pics etc. I have a cricket and love it. It is flux core and a big PITA, but it welds good.  Just have to clean and knock off the slag.  For as often as I use it it works.  I love that Lincoln though.  Was the $1499 including the tank?

Reply:That doesn't seem like a bad price at all without the rebate. I've got the older 215xt and really like it. The hardyness of the drive system itself is enough to make them worth the money. All of the little wire feed issues of the next lower class of machines would go away if they had the same wire feed drive. Enjoy.
