I've been shopping for a welder generator for a little while now. Have looked at the Miller Legends and AEAD's. A few Bobcats, the trailblazer seems to be a little high for me right now. So while trolling CL in the surrounding area of a days drive round trip I came across this machine.http://desmoines.craigslist.org/tls/4852307014.htmlIf any of you guys have any experience with it I would like to hear your feedback.JimJim,I don't mean to be argumentative and cantankerous, but I am getting older and a bit crotchety!Addendum; AND CRANKY

Reply:Down side of those old Hobart's is parts won't be readily available for them should you have an issue at some point..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan

Reply:Price is too high. You could get an SA200 that runs good for that kind of money. The Hobart welder is a great machine but with a less common engine and parts supplies, it's not worth the asking price. $750 might be about right. |
