Hi,I have a Makita 2416S 405mm Portable Cut-Off Steel Saw that I inherited from a family member when he passed away. He was a welding hobbyist and had a few items that I really can't see myself ever using. So thought this might be a good venue to sell this one.I'm in Southern California (Long Beach area) and am hoping someone local might be interersted. I can't really see shipping this item since I don't know how I would and it weighs quite a bit.I am asking $400 OBO for the saw. If this price is completely out of whack, please let me know. Since it is OBO, offers will be considered. Please PM if you're interested or have any comments or questions. Thanks for your help. Pics below.

Reply:Thanks for the tip. I did take a look with a quick google search and it looks like they go for $600-$800 new based on the first couple pages of links. Maybe there are some not so well known sites that sell these kinds of things cheap? Any links would be appreciated.
Reply:Makita also make less expensive models like the 2414. The one OP is offering is larger.I've never had or used a bad Makita product, and our 2414s at work made thousands of cuts on stainless tubing and carbon pipe. I put brushes in them and that's all except for when students damaged the cords... |
