I have a '69 redface with a generator and voltmeter. When the machine is running the amp guage shows zero at all times is this normal? Seems to me it should show something, right?
Reply:An amp meter will only show a reading when the current is flowing. A volt meter should read something when the engine is running, unless it has an output contactor that is not closed.
Reply:Will you give me an example?
Reply:Battery charge meter?? They read around zero most of the time. Only showing a charge right after engine start for a short time. As the battery charges up the current falls off to near zero. |
