Reply:Hello,My name is Rafael Abreu and I am a became new independent distributor of the Sanrex Sanarg 185/200/300 ACDC TIG welders that you've seen on my eBay store. Everything I have stated is true. I use the TA 300 ACDC tig machine in my Fabrication shop daily. This machine can lay a sweet bead on steel, stainless & aluminum just as good as any other professional machine out there all day long & I use the HTP Arctic Chill Water Torch cooler. I had a TA 185 for 6 years which I sold recently b/c I needed more power for thicker aluminum and got lucky to buy a well cared for & used TA300 from a pro welder a month before I sold the 185. Before I got the 300 I was looking at other machines. The Miller, a great machine was a bit to high for me and I don't want a transformer. Everlast looks like a nice machine but I've seen and read to many problems people have posted etc. Don't know the long term history of these machines. It kinda turned me off. Longevity, I don't know who they are. So, I got the 300 and I was concerned about who could service it. I contacted Thermal Arc and they said "no Problem". Shortly after I stumbled on some info about who really made the TA machines and investigated further. I did a search and found the SanRex catalog. Saw their machines and all the other products they have. This is a global company that has been around for a long time with lots of experience. I called their North American office in Port Washington, NY and I live in Queens, NY! Not to far away. They informed me that they still service the TA machines for a charge but they normally don't have many problems with their electronics. I felt relieved. I didn't like the fact that the tech at TA wasn't completely honest with me that they are not selling these machines for a quite a while. If you've noticed that they sell a 186 TIG that looks like every other Chinese "knockoff". Three reps from SanRex came to my shop and saw that I do in fact use their machine. I had recent the pleasure of sitting down with the SanRex people in Port Washington, NY and they are committed to reintroducing their welders to the U.S. market and are very nice to deal with. So it seemed like a good opportunity to get involved and I did. These TIG machines perform just as well as Red, Blue & Yellow etc. There is no scam here. These are not Chinese knockoffs, imitations etc. The electronics are made by Sanrex/Sansha Osaka, Japan and YES, they are assembled at their plant in China under Japanese ownership and supervision as they normally do around the world like other Japanese companies do with their products. They are the REAL DEAL. I have seen both the TA 300 and the Sanarg300AP with their covers off and they are identical!!!!!I am not here to convert RED, BLUE & YELLOW guys. It's like Ford, Chevy & Chrysler. Who cares. If you want to drive a Toyota or Honda that's your choice. If your happy with what you have stay with it.I believe in buying American but I believe that other countries also make quality products that can bee sold here. And the last time I checked the Japanese do make quality products and don't make junk.SanRex has been here for 30 years and they are part of the American economy. If you have a transformer TIG or the cheaper Chinese TIGs that you are unsure of and are looking to use a machine with years of proven dependability even when it was under another name and is reasonably affordable. I'd rather pay a bit more for quality. This is a big country with lots of opportunities and choices. I'm just looking to sell a quality product that I believe in and personally use for many years without fail.Thank YouRafael Abreu

Reply:I wasn't trying to sell on this site BTW. Just wanted to clarify the misunderstanding about these machines. Everlast powertig 185. Really? = Really Chinese. I guess that makes you the stupid one and HTP 221, nice machine made by Stel in Italy.  My friend has the same machine but struggles on thicker aluminum even with preheating. Had to come to my shop and use my 300 to finish the job! He's convinced and is putting his 221 up for sale and getting the 300AP Sanarg. He also has a TA185 and opened it up and saw the SanRex components.Nothing today is entirely made in one country any more. You know that. Everything is globally sourced even in the higher end welders. Reply:Do the math.He was maxing out his machine on 1/2" aluminum. Couldn't get it done with the HTP. Mine did it with no prob at 250 amps. The power that he needed and I had another 50 to go. AHP200X $719.00 Chinese again.  My biz partner just traded his Miller Syncrowave 200 for a used 1991 Lincoln 375 for more power as an even trade bcz he too has to sit on the pedal at 200 amps with 1/4" aluminum when we do custom oil tanks.I"ll refer to Mr. Oldendum. SanRex makes 50,000 amps power supplies. That's what they do. They are an industrial powersupply and semiconductor manufacturer. This is just a small division of their company. Everlast Who and Aplha What?Pot calling the kettle black.

Reply:Are you kidding me?! That boat anchor. Your electric bill must be nice. My friend has a Linde. Loves it but god forbid it goes its scrap metal. He likes my machine and knows of it well. Mine is a mobile unit able to weld anywhere in my 3000sqft shop.If anyone is in NYC anytime soon they can come by my shop and light up on my TA300 or Sanrex300 demo.

FS80avr Rules baby LOL! Even with stale gas and tight crack in primer bulb case. Hey "USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA Iraq 1/26/05Are you the same guy who put me onto this site when in my rant at miller 300 series issues i mentioned AO Smiths R2D2 "beehive" transformer unit?If you are , I gotta say THANKS man! You opened Doors!I eventually found one on Ebay that was older than the one I used and when the seller refused to ship I ended up finding a P&H ac/dc 835lb BEAUTY with special " low amp" section- 2amps heh heh!Shipping cost more than the unit! Heh heh! Still cleaning up the internal dust before i put power to it- a real rats nest of wires, all same colour but at least 95% of the sticky # are still on them so i can trace point to point. Are the industrial power supplies Sanrex makes the units for the commercial/ entertainment lighting industry that you were referring to? I was seeing some of the same style outer cases of the SanArg and TA units in all black! And basically similar front/rear panels too on the Japanese sites.Rabreu1969. "Everlast powertig 185. I not only saw the Sanrex igbt's and other components in my Miller 300 series inverters but they were the Same model numbers as the ones in my Japan TA units. In fact I was hard pressed to see any reference to US chip makers or US origin on the IC's on any of the boards in my 300 series Millers, except for the sticker on the back panel. The familiar word "Appleton" don't exist.Even my ol MM 35s has plexiglass old school relays with Midtex- made in China!Unit still works tho- will get around to repainting the case sometime
Reply:Thank you maxstar300lx.I don't begrudge anyone for using any other welder brand it's their "choice". If we all had to use the same welder and nothing else that goes against the principles of America. Freedom!!!!! It's all about what you can afford. People vote with their wallets. The Sanarg300AP is a unit that the regular garage guy or small shop can use with total confidence daily and don't have to break their bank paying for it or worrying about the electrical bill. It's 300 amps in a 53 lb package for the average guy. I stand by this machine.Thank you

Reply:Sanrex Corp.USA Port Washington, NY is the service center where all of their products are to be directly sent. There, the machines will be diagnosed, evaluated and serviced by their electrical engineers and sent back to the owner. By the way Thermal Arc sent all their machines to them to service since they were the original manufacturer of all their TA machines. They have the 400 amp Dc TIG & MIG inverter presently available for sale to the general public.ThanksRafael Abreu
