Just won this at an auction. It's a plasma and tig welder. Anyone heard of this brand? It weights over 100lbs easy. Chiller is about 40lbs give or take, had wheels so I rolled it most of the time. All I know is the price tag on these items. Lol

Reply:Huh, I had never heard of plasma welding before. Learn something new every day. There are a few videos on YouTube.First Google result I found was the auction I'm assuming you just won: http://www.k-bid.com/auction/5404/item/9?offset=9Then I found a few brochures for the machine:http://www.airliquidewelding.se/file...x%20242430.pdfhttp://www.airliquidewelding.se/file...chyr242437.pdfSeems like they're primarily used for automated systems and/or very small parts...down to 0.8A of TIG current (or 80mA of plasma current, however that compares). Only goes up to 50A though? Hopefully you've got 3ph power to see what it does!Couldn't find any other prices on the plasmafix kicking around, but a nearly identical cooler seems to have sold a little over a month ago for $900: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Affinity-110...p2047675.l2557I'm hoping you'll be able to fire it up and tell us about it, but if not it seems like getting your $500 back shouldn't be hard.
Reply:Wonder if I can hook this up to my RPC and turn it on? |
