The miller has the 18 hp onan. The hobart has only 500 hours. The millers hours are unknown. Both are the same price.HH 190Uniweld TorchesLincoln 225 ac-sMarquette Starjet torches gauges
Reply:The Miller is going to be older (still a good machine) and have AC/DC weld output whereas the Champion is DC only which is mainly a problem only if you intend to do any typical aluminum TIG welding (that would also require an HF arc starter such as a Miller HF251-D with either machine).MIG or Fluxcore welding would require a Voltage Sensing (VS) type wire feeder with either machine as well.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:The Miller will generate power at 1800 RPM, and weld at 3000. Quieter machine, but less generator power. (about half as much)Esab/Lorch ET-220iEsab 160i caddyThermal LM-200 Lincoln feedersThermal Pee-Wee 85sThermal 60i- 3phase /RPC powered (Beast)Thermal Drag-gun 35CINE 1500 Klutch 140i

Reply:Prices vary from region to region and I'm not familiar with the market in yours but that's more than I'd be willing to pay for either unit. But then, I don't need another welder. Reply:The Hobart is actually a Miller Bobcat. The case is beat up and it's missing some panels but I've seen a lot of machines in the back of trucks all beat up that still work fine. If the machine was maintained and works properly is more important than what it looks like.
