Hi everyone, I just bought my first welder a MillerMatic 210. My question is after looking over the volt/wire speed chart in the instruction manual it says that for input voltage under 230V the settings will be colder and over 240 the same setting will be hotter. My input voltage is 242, Does this mean I can use this machine for materials thicker than 3/8" with single pass. Thanks.
Reply:The lower/higher outputs they speak of are only slight and relative to the difference between the nominal 230 volts and the actual input. In other words they are saying a setting of 26 volts output based on an assumed 230 input might be 25 or 27 depending on your local conditions. Nothing to write home about.
Reply:Thanks for the reply Sandy. I kinda thought the gains would be small, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Just looking forward to running some wire through my new toy tomorrow. |
