I am going to buy a welder but have no idea of what they are worth. Any imput is arppreciated. Looking at a 1979 sa-200 without trailer in good condition. I believe older is better if it is in good running condition. When did Lincoln start with alu wire?

Reply:Some years ago a Lincoln engineer told me 73-79. At the time I had an 80 model and he said it was copper. Some years later I overhauled that machine and upon taking it apart it did appear to me to be indeed all copper.Good luck
