Looking for some help/advice here, yes I know there is not alot of info here, but I have not called the seller and asked anything yet, going to take a look later on in the weekBut knowing the skill and the experience that is on this site I am sure there is some input to be made. This being a first project and having little expericence working on this gear.....(I am an Elevator Mechanic by trade)  what am I looking for or not looking for, and so on.Lincoln 200 SA "Redface" portable welder:-4cyl gas driven-300 amp max true DC outputRuns excellent, but will not weld for some reason, do not have time to fix it.  Bought this welder to fully restore, because they are somewhat sought after by pipeliners, but have no time to spend on it.Phone: Kyle 204-383-XXXX asking $600.Thanks in advance for your inputLincoln 175spLincoln 350MP

Reply:I work with some SA fanatics and from what I've heard most the time if you take one of those big, rectangular pencil erasers to the exciter while its running will fix it. Sometimes just the exciter needs to be cleaned. I'd pick it up anyways, chances are if you cant fix it you could probably sell it and make your money back. Just my two cents.
