I am in the process of making the final decision on a machine for my home shop and would like to solicit feedback regarding the PRO's and CON's of owning an older machine. I'm presently looking at a LINCOLN TIG 300 which I can pick up locally (with tons of extras) for fairly cheap. Any opinions would be much appreciated.Thanks.Ken
Reply:You cant kill those old lincoln tig welders, they are very good machines that weld very well. The downfall of them is the primary amperage draw and the size. Be sure it is a single phase machine if your using it at home.JasonLincoln Idealarc 250 stick/tigThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 52Miller Bobcat 250Torchmate CNC tableThermal Arc Hefty 2Ironworkers Local 720
