Lincoln Magnum 250LX spool gun fail point

Good morning, We currently have a total of 3 Magnum 250LX spool guns that are down for repair. Every one has the power cable broken off just past the crimped on brass connection that screws into the gun. This seems to be a major fail point for these guns. Upon taking a look at the parts manual and speaking with our local rep it appears that the only way to order a new power cable is to obtain an entire cable assembly. This is beyond cost prohibitive. It would be no problem to strip back the cable and press on a new fitting if I could find one suitable, but I have been unable to locate a fitting off the shelf that will fit in the gun.Has anyone here successfully repaired one of these connections with a new crimp on fitting? If so, where did you obtain the fitting? Any other viable and safe suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks so much.
