Greetings,I was wondering if anyone has used with the RKX220 TIG Welder that Kane Industry sells:https://www.kaneindustries.co/product-page/RKX220OTC Daihen makes it to his specs. It got some pub at Fabtech 2021 but there's nothing I can find here and only what was picked up at that time via a search. It's price point is higher compared to some others, but it is being marketed as a well tuned tool for a seasoned operator. The control over polarity during starts also looks very interesting.Last edited by xiqtmw; 03-21-2022 at 07:34 AM.
Reply:I will bite. OTC is/was Japanese based manufacturer for decades. Surprising that this machine is built in Italy. My gut instinct is an Italian builder liscensed an early inverter design from OTC and is now partnering with OTC to re-badge the line. As far as specs go it is right in line with it being a 220 volt inverter. At that price point I would expect it to be a dual voltage welder and have more than a 1 year warranty. And if it does get shipped back for warranty repair parts could take months to be shipped from Italy. Kane Industries says they are the sole US supplier. The HTP Invertig 221 AC/DC Dual voltage water cooled package is much lower in cost with free shipping and 3 year warranty for comparison. That is where I would look first but hey, you could do worse.Side note, with this post I hit a posting milestone.

Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR"
