I'm a hobby user and did only stick welding before. I want to learn Tig Welding. Can anyone tell me the difference between this two welders:The Rogue 200iPro, is a DC tig welder with pulse and HF. The Caddy tig with TA33 control panel, doesn't has pulse. But... the Caddy tig costs a lot more than te rogue unit..... Why? According to the esab website the specs are almost the same. What is the difference? Is there a difference in arc quality?I can have a Caddy tig second hand, a little cheaper than a new Rogue. But the rogue has pulse, and warranty....Thank you for the advice.P.S. Sorry for my english, it isn't perfect.Last edited by brt; 04-01-2022 at 03:29 PM.
Reply:The rogue is DC only... No ability to weld aluminum. The caddytig is AC/DC, so it can easily weld aluminum
Reply:The caddys come in 4 versions:DC TA33AC/DC TA33DC TA34AC/DC TA34I said this on the other forum: the caddy is an outdated machine that they still mainly sell for ac/dc but the rogue is probably a better machine on DC...Murphy's Golden Rule: Whoever has the gold, makes the rules. |
