Hi,I am a beginner welder. I have a 200amp mig/stick. I want to load my 4000lb skidsteer in the back of my F550, I bought 12' aluminum ramps for this application. The deck is 46" off the ground. I need to make ramp brackets, similar to the ones on my trailer (pictured). What thickness is appropriate material? I was thinking 3/8s...I was thinking to use angle iron and cut notches out on the bottom(for water run off).Or would it be better to use flatbar and just make brace it.
