I am looking to weld very think metal sheets with each having a thickness of 0.025 micrometer, 6 or 7 of these are stacked together and welded so that it stay together and the total thickness is 25 micrometer. What we are currently doing is spot resistance welding them using copper electrode. We have 2 materials that needs to be welded separately the 1st one is Brass C260 and the second being SS304. Now the issue is sometimes the electrode gets stuck to these plates which damages/bring holes in them but most of the time they are fine. The current equipment using is the lowest capacity known to me in the market. 110-120V,22A with a 1.5kVA. |
