At the moment I use a Scrap-n-burr scraper. The blade I believe is not tungsten carbide, just some hardened steel. Is there a better welding scraper that I can buy?https://weldfabulous.com/scrape-n-bu...-with-3-blade/
Reply:Fireball sales one. It too is hardened steel. You can readily sharpen/customize hardened steel.I use masonry chisels
Reply:We had a CNC torch,, the parts had a small amount of flash left from cutting,,We tried several things, then settled on a 3" brick chisel, with the rubber hand shield taken off and reversed. The rubber handle is perfect, if reversed,, so that your hand does not accidentally slip off.AND,, accidentally letting go happens after 1,243 of the same parts!!

You can still hit the chisel with a hammer if needed,, you just gotta be a little more careful.I use one of them for a welding spatter scraper. they are hardened and easily sharpened,, if needed. You can find them in many widths,, and lengths. I have a blue one that is CRAZY long,, like 15 inches,, it comes in handy some times,,The BEST thing is that these chisels are ~ C H E A P ~ , you can often find them under$10.

Reply:This one does not have a rubber shield,, but I would bet an angled chisel would be GREAT for spatter removal. The bend would save your knuckles,,,

Rather than put it in an SDS drill,, you could add a handle??

Reply:I use a leaf spring.Dave

Reply:I use a scraper made from an old file that has been partially annealed and flattened out a little with a slight bend, a nice old school file handle. I've really never had to deal with a lot of spatter, if it's too problematic use some anti-spatter or a little PAM spray.NRA LIFE MEMBERUNITWELD 175 AMP 3 IN1 DCMIDSTATES 300 AMP AC MACHINEGOD HELP AMERICA!"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
