I have a very old and venerable Victor dual stage Acetylene regulator. It is a "V60" model that came out of one of the local lumber Mills forever ago. It leaks pretty bad, but being the cool historical piece that it is, I want to return it to service. I mailed the thing off to Victor for a rebuild, and they mailed it back to me, saying it was obsolete and that they would no longer service it! Does anyone know where to get parts for such an old regulator, or how to shine it up? It is tarnished and has some verdigris.SRA & IWW memberCentury 250 amp AC/DCCentury 295 amp AC
Reply:I have a couple of old regulators that need to be rebuilt so I asked the owner of a local welding shop and they recommended Toledo Torch, in Toledo, Ohio (it's not far away). I've been told they can pretty much fix anything on old regulators...worth a call if you're willing to ship to them.Check out my bench vise website: http://mivise.comMiller Syncrowave 250DXMillermatic 350P with XR AlumaProMiller Regency 200 with 22A feeder and Spoolmatic 3Hobart Champion EliteEverlast PowerTig 210EXT
