I have a chance on purchasing a powermax 800...only problem is that it doesn't come with a torch. The guy says it powers on ok but no way to test it without torch.....is there anyway to test without a torch....he wants $400.00 for it ...probably could talk him down a bit. I just didn't want to take a chance on buying it and then invest paying $400.00 more for a torch and not have it work....any suggestions would be appreciated!
Reply:If the unit had a torch and was operational it would be worth $400. That unit was last produced over 20 years ago, the majority of parts are no longer available. Jim Colt Hypertherm
