I have an S-62 feeder. I would like to run it with a xmt 350VS power source. the manual says by flipping a dip switch i can make the feeder voltage sensing. where do i connect the voltage sensing cable?thanksRich
Reply:its not that type of voltage sensing. The voltage sense lead is used with the meter option on welders that do not have volt and current meter outputs. pins H and F in the 14 pin feeder plug. Which your welder does not have. The only way to use this feeder is to get a 24vac transformer and power the feeder on pins A and G. then it will feed wire and the wire will be hot all the time.If you look at the diagram in the owners manual or the one under the feeder cover. You will see that the voltage sense lead goes to the meter and only A and G go to the wire drive motor control pcb.It would be best to find some type of suit case feeder to use with your welder.
