We just finished my son's garage and part of it is going to be a workout room, thinking about building a trainer, somewhere nicer than many of the $50 Youtube designs but not one of the $4,000 dollar ones. Anyone designed/built one?Miller Challenger 172Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC 225/150Miller Maxstar 150 STLVictor 100CVictor JourneymanOxweld OAHarris O/ASmith O/A little torchNo, that's not my car.
Reply:I don't think that's one of those things you design but copy. I've been known to take stealth pictures of things I want to build plus copy a few measurements.

Reply:You guys sound like a bunch of overweight old men… LOL!BIg B,Not sure how old your son is but if he’s got the motivation to do itAnd is fairly youngHe will build muscle mass pretty quickly. And that muscle symmetry Will stay with him forever. I was never a dedicated gym rat but in my 20s me and my buddies used to lift some pretty serious weight. Getting older I’m glad I did. It helps bone density and muscle/basis. Nothing worse than a guy in his 50s or 60s the gains a few extra pounds and never lifted anything at allIts the difference between looking like a fat slob and looking like a big guy. I still have all my Olympic free weightsBut they are collecting dust. It’s kind of depressing  to put 225 on the bench and barely get 2 repsI used to do a set of 10 as a warm-upBut life goes on. On a sidenote I hear what you guys are saying aboutBeing gym strong VS lets say, “ Farmer strong”I used to move furniture as a part-time jobHeavy sleeper sofas to the third-floorRefrigerators etc. I’ll never forget We needed a helper one weekend so I asked this big musclehead dude that used to go to the gym all the time. He was wiped out after two deliveries. Funny.Miller 211Hypertherm PM 451961 Lincoln Idealarc 250HTP 221  True Wisdom only comes from Pain.
