This unit probably has gone under the radar on the "new" products list for Everlast. But it does deserve some recognition.The new UltraArc 205 is a multi-process, TIG/Stick/Plasma (DC only) unit that has been completely revised and fully digitalized for the best reliability of these type units ever. It has been introduced to replace the older PowerUltra line which is NLA.The New unit has several features, including 3 pulse programs with adjustable Pulse Frequency in each configuration. It has a spot timer as well. But importantly, it has a new "fast tack" feature that some have referred to as similar to "cold" welding of thin materials. It also has a spot timer for standard tacking. For those needing touch/lift ignition without the use of a foot pedal or torch switch, this unit has it. The stick features have been expanded over the old PowerUltra Series. Plasma cutting capability of course is standard. This unit has a lot to offer for those wanting DC only prototyping/home fabrication or repair portable repair capabilities.
