powcon SMT 400

Hello,I am new to the site . I have a Powcon SMT 400 welder it has a blown verister in it.If I give the location of it could someone tell me the numbers off it by looking at it .It is #19 on page 22 of the owners manual. Thanks in advance for any help
Reply:Your number/page reference doesn't match what's in my manual. The only # 19 shown in mine is the main SCR assembly and that's on page 23, not 22.  The schematic doesn't show that many resistors in the system so we can probably narrow it down if you can give more information/clues to which one you are speaking of.Just fyi--my manual is 201284-001 Rev C copyright 1992.  Don't know how this relates to the date of your machine.Last edited by Kozmo; 03-20-2015 at 02:40 PM.
Reply:Hello thanks for your time . The manual i am referring to is one i downloaded from the Arcon website . I think its called a operating manual for the SMT 400 welder .  The location of the verister is on the top rear of the machine where the power cord comes in .It is on a board on the left side and the verister is blue in Color.     Thanks for your help
Reply:It's not labeled as to size in the schematic--Am I correct that this is RV1 which is in the general vicinity of the voltage change board?Arcon has the other varistors for about 10 bucks each but RV1 is not on their list.  http://www.arconweld.com/portable_we...are-parts.html  To find it I have to pull the cover and physically look.  I can't get to that right now as I have some work pending.
