It took me a long time to build my table. Now I am almost ready. I was able to tune the motors last nite and actually get them moving. I have the most up to date Commmand CNC update 1.1. My question is what do you put the amp dial on the machine to when CNC plasma cutting. I read and re-read the hyp 85 manual and it does not state what position to put the amperage dial in. I assume all the way to 85 amp and let Command CNC take the settings over.Thanks. Reply:I have the mach3 setup from c and cnc and hypertherm 65. Mine is the latest or one of the latest versions that was made for windows and mach 3, but is not the command cnc you have, so I can only tell you how my setup experience worked. The hypertherm has two connections to the c and cnc system and when it is setup for cnc cutting, you can not change settings on the hypertherm panel. The computer does all of it and yours is likely the same.If you did not get the options to have command cnc control the plasma cutter, then set the amperage to whatever you used in CAM or sheetcam. I always run 45 amps for fine cut or 45 amp nozzles and 65 amps for the 65amp nozzles. Air pressure is also set by the computer, on mine.A 45 amp nozzle, 45 amp settings, and some 1/8" material would be a good test. I run book settings and have a hypertherm tool chart in sheetcam. The directions for the c and cnc system said to do test cuts without height control and to verify the voltage and compare that to the book settings. I'm assuming you will need to do the same, but I have never seen the command cnc setup.Miller 330abpMiller 211 inverter, M150 spool gunMiller 135Miller 375 Extreme plasmaCNC plasma table (build in progress)Femi 120abs portable band sawMany other toolsToo little garage spaceNot enough money
Reply:If your Command CNC is setting the amperage through the RS485 serial port on the rear panel of the Powermax system, then don't worry about the Amperage / air pressure knob on the front panel.....the amperage and cut air pressure will be set by the Command and software and will be correct as long as you set the right process (consumables) and material thickness.  Jim Colt

Reply:Thanks for the responses. Yes Jim I have the RS485 set up. Reply:Set up and did some test cuts (straight line) in Inkscape and then to Sheetcam and then CommandCNC. For hours and hours I could not get the THC to work. I noticed my voltage was always around 24, should be 130. I then figured out the voltage ratio was incorrect. I flipped over the PWM sensor and moved the jumper to 50:1. Take note of my fopars people. After I fixed the jumper I now have the THC working.www.tjsperformance.comDynasty 300 DXHTP 240HTP Microcut 380Hyperthem 85JD2 Hyd Bender and HF Hyd Ring Roller all in one =(Frankenbender)Bpt.
