So a friend asked me to replace the ground cable on that machine, anyone know how it is connected on the inside the unit ? just a lug or is it wired into a board ? Wire is only 10' 8 AWG and very stiff, he wants it a little longer and, more flexible…..any thoughts ?Thanks in advance.

Reply:Thanks for the reply, I took off the cover and see where it is located. Seems easy enough to modify, I'm thinking of putting a panel dinseconnector on the front panel. Also I notice that when adjusting the max amp,led display only reads 33 amps...is that a problem or normal for a 40 amp machine.
Reply:it should read whatever the machine is rated for.is it a dual voltage unit?i would put a amp clamp on it and compare readings.it's possible the readout is not calibrated very well. |
